TUESDAYS AT THE EAGLE GAY BAR REVIEW PROFESSIONALĬreative cocktails match the eccentric atmosphere, and professional barkeep (many of whom have worked at The Castle for a decade or more) can mix up just about anything you like. The Castle is only open on Friday and Saturday nights from 10:30pm until 3am.Robby Kelley’s time at the Eagle has come to a close. The longtime co-owner of the popular Atlanta gay bar has been bought out by co-owner Richard Ramey in a transaction finalized Tuesday afternoon. Ramey, who also owns the Flower Cottage On Main in East Point and has been co-owner of the Eagle with Kelley since 1997, will now be sole owner and operator of the bar. Kelley was a member of the Eagle 8, the group arrested in an Atlanta Police Department raid of the bar on Sept. Police were acting on anonymous tips that there was illegal sex and drug use taking place there, but nobody was arrested for such crimes. However, Kelley and seven others were arrested for permit violations. Richard Ramey (left) and Robby Kelley (right) at the Atlanta Eagle in 2010. More than 60 men in the bar that night were forced to the floor and illegally searched and detained by officers. Patrons sued the city of Atlanta in federal court saying their constitutional rights were violated and eventually the city settled for more than $1 million in December 2010. Kelley and Ramey started working on the transaction last October. Kelley says the aftereffects of the raid and lawsuit contributed to his decision to sell. “It took a little more out of me than I thought it would,” he says. Hopefully with me not being involved anymore, they won’t bring it up as much.” “Even today people walk into the bar and say, ‘Hurry up and get a drink before we get raided.’ And people don’t realize that that just brings all that back up again. “I’m just really proud of her,” she admits.Free gay dating site for serious relationship Portraying a darker mental landscape of her character was a new challenge for Sink. This summer, Sink is returning to our screens once again as skateboarding cool kid Max Mayfield for the highly anticipated fourth season of Stranger Things, which airs as Part One (out now) and Part Two (July 1). As Kate Bush’s angst-filled anthem “Running Up That Hill” blasts through her Walkman, her character takes up a much larger share of the plotline, and each time Sink appears on-screen this season, we’re introduced to an even deeper layer of her acting chops.

Sadie Sink may have burst onto the scene when she joined the cast of Netflix’s record-breaking sci-fi series Stranger Things in 2017, but our June cover star has proven that nabbing the breakout role at just 15 was only the beginning for her. Since then, she’s cemented herself as the face of our favorite horror and sci-fi thrillers with a role in the Fear Street trilogy collaborated on a series of striking Chanel, Miu Miu, and Prada ensembles with stylist Molly Dickson and even appeared in the Taylor Swift–directed short film for the artist’s “All Too Well” video. But long before Stranger Things propelled her into the spotlight, the Texas-born star was a theater kid with her focus pointed squarely at Hollywood. So now that Sink stands at the beginning of her 20s with a magnified role in the hit TV series and an upcoming feature film, there’s no question that she’s no longer the new kid in town.
